He inherited part of his family's 18.4% stake in Tata Sons after his father died in a car crash in 2022.
His uncle Shapoor Mistry is chairman of the family's Mumbai construction giant, Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
To reduce debt, the group raised a $646 million by listing privately held construction and engineering firm Afcons Infrastructure in 2024.
