Peter Korbacka is a shareholder in the Slovakia-based J&T investment group. He owes much of his fortune to interests in J&T Private Equity Group and real estate firm JTRE Holding, as well as real estate assets held outside the group.
JTRE has expanded well beyond Slovakia: in London it developed Triptych Bankside and is building the 22-story 220 Blackfriars office tower; it also has projects in Berlin and a Kempinski-branded Grace Bay resort in Turks and Caicos.
Korbacka separately owns the Eurovea shopping center in Bratislava through Cyprus-based holding companies.
Together with real estate company Sonae Sierra, he acquired three shopping centers in Spain for around $500 million in 2019. He holds a majority interest in a joint venture with Sonae called Trivium, which is traded on the Spanish stock exchange.
