The company's two other cofounders, Li Zhenguo and Zhong Baoshen, are college friends with Chunan from undergraduate days at Lanzhou University.
Li is also the chairman of Linton Technologies, a maker of semiconductor and solar equipment based in the northeastern city of Dalian.
