Ding Shizhong is the chairman of Hong Kong-listed Anta Sports, one of China's largest homegrown sportswear companies.
It sells under a range of brands such as Anta, Fila, Descente and Kolon Sport, as well as labels like Arc'teryx and Salomon that were acquired through a $5.2 billion deal in 2019.
The company has kept expanding its portfolio of western athletic brands through mergers and acquisitions. In 2026, Anta agreed to purchase a 29% stake in German sportswear brand Puma from France's billionaire Pinault family for $1.8 billion.
Its subsidiary Amer Sports went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2024, raising $1.4 billion.
His older brother Ding Shijia, who serves as the company's deputy chairman, is also a billionaire.
